Okay, it's election day in our country, a big day to see who keeps control of congress, and what do I see when I go to CNN? BREAKING NEWS that Britney Spears has filed for divorce from KFed. WHY IN THE HELL IS THIS CONSIDERED NEWS!!!!!!!! ON FUCKING CNN OF ALL PLACES TOO!!!!

I hate, hate, hate the media. And I hate the sheep that lap this entertainment news crap up. Damnit I need a drink....

1 - GAH! It wasn't any better on the election coverage on TV. I just saw the Britney "news" as a scroll across the bottom of MSNBC. [sigh] At least the Democrats seem to be rolling along!

2 - It wasn't unique to CNN, either. I couldn't escape the news as I browsed around the various news services. ABC's was the best as they had a rotating flash with photos about the top stories. The first four had to do with the elections, and the close races for the Senate, etc. The fifth was a pic of Britney Spears and hubby with a tear running down between their heads.

Ridiculous.

1. Given that you actually seem to know who 'KFed' is, I'm afraid that whatever it is that is wrong with our country already happened well before today.

2. Actually, it's kind of fitting isn't it? One of today's election themes is "throw the bums out".
